Kinesiology

Kinesiology does not require a math course as a major requirement. However, students regularly take science courses, such as chemistry and physics, as electives within this major.

If you have done or will do any of the following, then you will likely not need to take the MPA if you plan on taking chemistry and physics as a part of your Kinesiology major:

  • Earn college credit in a Calculus course with a grade of C- or better
  • Score a 2, 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Calculus exam
  • Earn college credit in a Pre-Calculus II course with a grade of C- or better
  • For college credit earned through International Baccalaureate (IB) exams in Mathematics, please see the IB Credit Table.

If none of the above applies to you, you will likely need to take the MPA in order to access chemistry and physics coursework as a part of this major.
